UK confirms concession stands will be closed at Rupp, Memorial

Fans of Rupp Arena ice cream, I’ve got some bad news. UK just confirmed that concession stands at Rupp Arena and Memorial Coliseum will be closed until further notice in accordance with Governor Andy Beshear’s ban on indoor dining. Fans will not be allowed to bring their own food or drink to either venue, and must wear masks at all times. The mandate, which is scheduled to expire at midnight on Dec. 13, does not apply to coaches and players on participating teams.

ICYMI, yesterday UK unveiled new safety protocols for Rupp and Memorial, which include the aforementioned mask requirement and temperature checks upon entry. Check ’em all out below, along with a video from the Rupp folks:

My understanding is that they wanted to charge the vendors full price, even with the reduction in capacity. The greed from these universities will come back to bite them, sooner rather than later.

Screw them. My tickets are very last row in the upper corner. Will kick back, light up a few cigarettes, and watch the Cats clobber MSU to cover the 22.5.
