Wide receiver Christian Lewis is good at the game of football.
Friday night the UK commit played in Alabama’s Class 5A semifinals. To return to the state finals, Lewis’ Pleasant Grove needed to take down an undefeated Ramsey football team that previously handed them a 33-26 loss in the regular season finale. Midway through the second quarter, the outlook was bleak for Pleasant Grove, trailing 14-0. Then Lewis took over.
After catching only two passes in the first half, Lewis scored two second half touchdowns to help the Spartans score 35 unanswered points and propel Pleasant Grove to a 35-14 victory. Lewis mossed two defenders on this jump ball, 34-yard touchdown. Not too shabby.
Chris Lewis vs high school DBs isn't even fair. Pleasant Grove scored 35 unanswered to defeat Ramsay 35-14 and advance to the 5A state championship game where they'll take on St. Paul's.@ChrisLew__ @hooper_status pic.twitter.com/OCPedCtuPs

The UK commit finished with six receptions for 84 yards and the two scores.
“We put the hard work in during the offseason to get back where we are and it feels really good to be back in the state championship,” Lewis told Al.com. They’ll play undefeated St. Paul’s Thursday night at Bryant-Denny Stadium in the Class 5A AHSAA State Championship.
