While the Kentucky basketball team struggled to score points, one UK recruiting target was going bananas on the basketball court.
Brandin Podziemski, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Delafield, Wisconsin, may not be the highest-ranked recruit John Calipari has looked at over the years, but the No. 72 prospect in the 2021 class knows how to get buckets. Tuesday night Podziemski scored a school record 46 points by reportedly knocking down 7-of-8 three pointers (18/23 FG). He also had 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.

Podziemski broke his own school record in his third 40+ point game of the season. He was one point away from a fourth 40-point game last Saturday.

You’ll never believe this , but people compare Podziemski to Tyler Herro. You can’t blame them. He’s a bucket from Wisconsin that plays for Herro’s AAU team. He holds an offer from Kentucky and for a short while it appeared that UK might get a commitment from Podziemski. Things seem to have cooled. Hopefully that is just temporary because Kentucky could certainly use some long-range scorers that can bury game-winners, like the one you’ll see below.
