Some quick hitters before dinner…

— A little bit ago I showed you the new University of Kentucky Kobe 11 shoe. Turns out Jamal Murray wore them in last night’s game:

Perfect timing for the high-top/low-top ankle support debate.

— Speaking of last night’s game, I would like to give away the Drew Franklin Play of the Game Presented By Taco Bell to the following sequence by Isaiah Briscoe. Sure, Jamal Murray’s dunk to open the game was nice, but for my money, I’d like to see more of this:

The crowd loved it, too.

— Don’t forget: We are all Mississippi State fans tonight. Big Blue Nation needs Texas A&M to drop one of its last four games to feel better about Kentucky’s chances of winning the conference. UK controls its own destiny, but A&M is only one game behind and holds the head-to-head tiebreaker. Go Bulldogs.

— After you watch Mississippi State and Texas A&M on ESPN2, DeMarcus Cousins, Willie Cauley-Stein and Rajon Rondo will play in the 10:30 pm NBA game on ESPN. It is one of the rare nationally televised Kings this season, so be sure to catch it. They host the Spurs, which isn’t fair.

— If you missed this morning’s radio show, be sure to check out the podcast on the WKJK website. Matt and Ryan looked back on last night’s game and Matt’s unpleasant run-in with the governor, plus a whole lot more.

Murray wore these the past couple games. Glad the shoes are not available to the public, my wife will kill me if I buy another pair of sneakers lol.

The tiebreaker should NOT be determined by a one game series given that one team will be at home. UK is undefeated at home and lost in OT (with a BS call) away at UT&M. Hardly a fair tiebreaker.

Hey Bulldog! Anyone remember the Beatles song by that name? Never got much play, but I liked it a lot. Here’s the studio video:
