I’m gonna make a prediction. In two years Ole Miss will win the SEC west and make the 8 team playoff and Kentucky will finish 2nd in the east. Much more confident on Ole Miss even though that could be a slight stretch.

Football Recruiting Research (According to Rivals)

    First off… Rivals has a ranking system that goes from 5.2 to 6.1….. 6.0 and 6.1 are 5-star guys, 5.8 and 5.9 are 4 star guys, 5.5, 5.6 and 5.7 are 3 star guys.

6.1, 6.0, 5.9 and a few 5.8 guys are in the top 250….there are about a 100 more 4 star guys rated 5.8….that makes up the top 350 in the nation…. when you include the 5.7 and 5.6 3-star guys you are talking about the top 500 to 550 players in the country. With that said….

    In the Mark Stoops Era:

    He has recruited-

    (2) 5.9 4-stars – Drew Barker and Stanley Williams

    (12) 5.8 4-stars *at one point* – Mikel Horton, Cory Johnson, Dorian Baker, Blake Bone, Mike Edwards, Kendall Randolph, Nick Richardson, Darius West, Denzel Ware,Thaddeus Snodgrass, Jason Hatcher, Marcus McWilson, Zadarius Smith.

Of those guys, 10 have been rated in the top 250 players in the nation at one point.

    (11) 5.7 3-star players – Dorian Hendrix, Jarrett Larrubbio, Jared Tucker, Kobie Walker, Alvonte Bell, Jaleel Hytchye, JoJo Kemp, Kyle Meadows, Alex Montgomery, Khalid Thomas, Ryan Timons

    (6) 5.6 3-star guys – Tymere Dubose, Nico Firios, Ryan Flannigan, Garrett Johnson, Darryl Long, Adrian Middleton

Out of 47 total guys recruited, Only 4 have been rated BELOW a 5.6 3-star guy.

Needless to say, the talent level on the field is going to get a serious boost in the next couple of years.

I regret dating in college literally every day of my life. I am going to tell my kids to not date in high school OR college. You aren’t even remotely ready for marriage until college is over. There are exceptions, but I wasted SO much time in stupid, meaningless, dead serious relationships.

    • Truth

so when people meet, date, and get engaged in college (or high school) and things work out they got lucky cuz they aren’t “remotely ready for marriage”?

speak for yourself, some people can handle it in college, others cant… foolish to say a blanket statement like that

If our kids would start hitting at that rate, we would bury some of these SEC teams instead of struggling through the first half of games. Also, we really need to turn up the defensive effort for the WHOLE GAME.

It really depends on who they have to play. Matchups are all important and they do not want to face a really big team. That stated, teams that they matchup with they can win most of those games. Considering they will probably get a 2 or 3 seed, I see them more than likely getting to the Sweet 16.

Andrew and Aaron are getting a lot more grief than others and at this point, it is not warranted.

Right now the SEC has five teams who squarely on the cut line for the tournament — Arkansas, LSU, Tennessee, Missouri, and Ole Miss. After Georgia, we play three of those five teams in a row — @ LSU, @ Mizzou, and home vs. Ole Miss. What a difficult stretch of games that is going to be. Win all of those and we will help our NCAA seeding outlook tremendously.
