Trae Young’s latest blog entry for USA Today is up and in it he details his trip to Big Blue Madness.
Young wrote about eating chicken strips and mac-and-cheese at Coach Cal’s house, hanging out with the coaching staff, and how you people are crazy.
The five-star point guard also had a little bit to say about some advice he received from De’Aaron Fox and why he loves Calipari:
I think the best advice that I got on the visit was from (De’Aaron) Fox. He and I have always been really close and he told me that, when it comes down to the decision, to pick the school where I’m needed and the school that would put me in the best position to make it to the highest level.
The thing I love about Coach Cal is that he keeps it 100 with you. Kentucky isn’t for everybody, but he’s seen the way I play with a chip on my shoulder and he told me that Kentucky is for me. [USA Today]
“I’d give the visit a 10 out of 10,” he added.
Young’s blog also recaps his trip to Kansas, which scored a perfect 10 out of 10 as well.
“Honestly, all of my visits have been 10s!”
