Matthew Mitchell just landed one of the top players in the country with by far the best name. Five-star wing Treasure Hunt committed to Kentucky, picking the Cats over Auburn, Baylor, Mississippi State, and South Carolina.
Hunt is considered a top 10 player by All Star Girls Report and No. 28 in the 2020 class by espnW. She was travel teammates with current Kentucky star Rhyne Howard, whom her mother says she considers an older sister. She took an official visit to Kentucky for Big Blue Madness in October, her second trip Lexington for the event after visiting unofficially last year.
Hunt is Kentucky’s third commitment in the 2020 class, joining four-star forward Nyah Leveretter and three-star point guard Erin Toller. The early signing period begins on November 13.
UPDATE: Rhyne Howard gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the celebrations at the Joe Craft Center on Instagram.
