Top point guard visiting for Big Blue Madness

If the line of fans along Avenue of Champions wasn’t indication enough, Big Blue Madness is right around the corner and last night, word came out that five-star 2018 point guard Immanuel Quickley will be in Rupp Arena to check out the festivities. Quickley, considered the best point guard in the 2018 class by ESPN, also announced unofficial visits to Kansas (Oct. 1), Miami (Oct. 8), Louisville (Oct. 15), Virginia (Oct. 22) and Duke (Oct. 28).

You may remember Quickley as one of the recruits John Calipari traveled to Spain to watch this summer in the FIBA U17 World Championships. Joel Justus paid him a visit on September 9, the first day of the fall recruiting period.

Can we take a moment and reflect on how lucky we are to have Cal and our current staff? Five star guys coming to our sold-out practices, just to load up for another great class next year. All just in case our current set of studs decide to go to the NBA after another baller year. Just a breath of fresh air from articles about our football team clamoring over a 4-star QB decommit from OSU who probably has no interest in our program.

Agree! I just wish they would change the rule so we could keep them for 2 or 3 years.
