All weekends are good weekends, but this past one was extra special for Big Blue Nation.
Of course, the UK football team reported to camp, had its first fall scrimmage and opened its doors to fans for Fan Day on Saturday, but John Calipari’s basketball program also has reason to celebrate.
Cam’ron Fletcher, a four-star small forward out of St. Louis, pledged his commitment to Kentucky while on his official visit Saturday night. The No. 36 player in America is UK’s second commit in 2020, joining BJ Boston, who committed one week earlier, and he lifts the class up to third in the rankings, behind only Virginia and Duke. To learn all about the addition of Fletcher and what he will bring to the Cats, read Jack Pilgrim’s commitment story here.
Team USA Training Camp starts today out in Las Vegas, but Julius Randle won’t be there.
Randle withdrew his name from the list of participants on the eve of Team USA training camp, citing “a family issue” for his last minute change of plans. Now Bam Adebayo will be the only former Kentucky Wildcat among the 15 participants vying for a spot on the final 12-man World Cup roster.
De’Aaron Fox is on the USA Basketball Select Team.

Vito Tisdale sets commitment date.
Tisdale, an in-state prospect and one of the top targets on Mark Stoops’ recruiting board, announced his plans to commit to the school of his choosing on January 4, 2020. That’s the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and I love UK’s chances for the four-star safety out of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Jalen Green set his commitment date too.
One of UK’s top basketball targets also revealed his commitment plans. Jalen Green, the No. 3 overall player in the 2020 class, will announce his decision on Christmas Day. A commitment from Green would make for a nice Christmas present for Big Blue Nation.
