Today on KSR: We’re Going Bowling!

Good morning friends! Happy Sunday! Anyone break out their bowling shoes last night? Can you believe it’s not even Halloween and we’ve already secured a bowl bid? What a time to be alive. So, sit back, relax, get yourself a coffee on this chilly morning and let me tell you what you need to know:

In Benny We Trust

I’m not going to lie to you, KSR readers. About five minutes into the second half I turned to my friends and said: “Kentucky football is reverting back to the Kentucky football we know and hate.” Yep, I know that was a stupid and unfair thing to say, but I was angry and windburnt and may have had three cups of moonshine at a tailgate. But Benny Snell is not your typical Kentucky Football Player. He’s better. Despite barely seeing the ball all game, he unleashed the beast and scored the “game-winning” touchdown. If you need something to hype you up this morning, I suggest re-watching it.

He’s a record breaker.

Here’s a Pretty Sight

Oh is that us at the top?

Despite Mizzou blowing out Memphis last night and the scariness of UGA I’ve been talking about all season, I think we have a legitimate chance in playing UGA for the East on November 3rd. And I think if we play like we played pre-TAMU, we can win.  If that’s the case, BBN you’re all formally invited to party at my parents’ house in Atlanta for the SEC Championship weekend! See ya there!

Purdue took down OSU

It was perhaps the most important game yesterday, and Purdue pulled off the upset. They beat Ohio State 49-20 for a very meaningful win. A Purdue student, Tyler Trent is battling a scary form of bone cancer. The scene after the game was filled with excitement and emotion as the team declared the win “For Tyler.” And if you want to cry, watch this video:

Tears. Tears Everywhere.

Around the SEC

Here’s what happened in and around the SEC yesterday:

  • Auburn beat Ole Miss 31-16.
  • Alabama beat UT 58-21 (shocker).
  • LSU beat Mississippi State 19-3.
  • Arkansas beat Tulsa 23-0.
  • Missouri beat Memphis 65-33.

Alabama pulled the biggest and best troll move after their merciless win against Tennesee.

Butch Jones was promptly greeted with a Gatorade bath after the game as well as a victory cigar in the Bama Locker room. Leaving your old team in a dumpster fire and then beating them badly next season while still being on their payroll? That’s a gangster move, Butch.

Cats in the NFL

Here’s who’s playing today:

  • Wesley Woodyard and the Titans have already kicked off in their London game vs the Chargers.
  • Avery Williamson and the Jets take on the Vikings at 1 PM
  • John Toth and the Eagles play the Panthers at 1 PM
  • Garrett Johnson and Danny Trevathan of the Bears play the Patriots at 1 PM

And that’s about it.

That’s all from me today, friends! Happy Sunday and Go Cats!

Obviously Terry needs to be better or we will go no further based on whom we are facing.

I get it. He is our second-best RB and that needs to be acknowledged in the game plan.

But. . . I continue to find it amazingly difficult to believe that Stoops an Co. Are holding back on a NCAA championship season by keeping their best weapon on the bench.

Many UK fans are now the kid who only ever could date the cross-eyed girl with a limp, who is now with the third prettiest girl on the homecoming court…BUT we want to date the queen.

    Wouldn’t we all.

This season has been less than pretty but after 40, 50,60 years of “meh”?

Acknowledge the good while accepting that whomever is under center is probably not the QB we REALLY need to take this group to Atlanta and win.

Don’t we can beat Mizzou, if Wilson plays whole game. Wake up coach and make a change.

Mizzous offense is scAry out of conference. Notice the drop in PF in conference play. Also, notice the domination in UKs defense in PAs. 60!!!!!!! Thats 5 SEC opponents and a total of 60 points scored for them. UK will make Lock uncomfortable all night and UK gets a couple or few INTs

Is it a fair assumption that Stoops must have promised Terry the starting spot for the season to get him to come here? It otherwise defies all logic and common sense to keep playing him with the chance for a special season still within our grasp.

Citrus bowl reps came by our tailgate and seemed pretty confident we’d get the bid if we got 9

With this QB 8 is right. I’ve heard people say he is doing it for the other players on the team. I’m pretty sure the wide outs would be content with someone that can throw the ball to them. Not sure how you recruit receivers here when they don’t get targets.

1st in The SEC East. Do you people understand rarefied air? The best defense in the league, again….the SEC….best ever to wear blue and white, and the best running back in the college game.
I like our chances. This experience does not happen often at UK.
Instead of glitching about what is wrong, realize what you now have.
UK is in the game folks.
    Go Cats.

The author of this article states that Snell barely touched the ball all game. He had 32 carries, I wouldn’t exactly call that barely touching the ball.

She probably didn’t see the entire game. She said she had 3 cups of moonshine at the tailgate. I thought the same thing.
