Wednesday was a difficult day for Kentucky-Sports-Radio-dot-com. Around the noon hour, right when I was hitting my blogging stride for the day, an anti-KSR terrorist group attacked our servers from somewhere overseas. The site crashed. Our loyal readers, good people like you and my mother, couldn’t access the great content I worked so hard to provide for them.
Truth be told, the unfortunate and completely unexpected situation wasn’t anything new around these parts. It has happened in the past when traffic is coming in too fast and our boiler room can’t keep up with the demand. But every time it has happened in the past, there have been people around to fix it. Yesterday, I was a one-man show with no clue how to resuscitate your favorite website. Everyone else is on vacation. I tried the power up, power down move; it didn’t work. I unplugged my computer and blew in it; that didn’t work either. I tried calling the internet’s tech support hotline, but couldn’t find a phone number for the internet online.
The KSR website is down and I don't know how to fix it and everyone is on vacation so maybe I'll just email you all what's supposed to be on the site right now? pic.twitter.com/1gZprD4dZ2

Luckily, KSR’s trusted handyman, Hubby, saved the day while Matt and I were on Finebaum. I don’t know what he did or who he called or what color wire he cut on the switchboard, but KSR came back to life in time for dinner and he is the man to thank. It was the longest we’ve gone dark in as long as I can remember, and for that, I am sorry we inconvenienced your internet browsing experience on a Wednesday. I think everything is back to normal today. At least I hope it is. If it’s not, I’ll try blowing again.
UK Softball’s first SEC Tournament game moved due to rain.
The SEC Softball Tournament got dumped on yesterday and the long delay moved the schedule around a little bit. Kentucky had been all set to play its first game tonight, but the Cats will now have to wait until tomorrow morning before their first action down in College Station. They will get the winner of Ole Miss and Mississippi State at 11 a.m. ET.
Johnny Juzang to announce his decision tomorrow.
The Kentucky basketball team is close to adding a fifth member to its new freshman class, if things go as expected in Johnny Juzang’s recruitment. Juzang announced yesterday that he is ready to share his decision with the world. He picked tomorrow, Friday, May 10, as the day to announce. He is down to Kentucky, Virginia, Oregon and Kansas, although it’s believed to be a two-horse race between Kentucky and Kansas.
If you missed KSR’s takeover of the Finebaum Show yesterday…
Matt Jones filled in for Paul for the entire show and I chimed in whenever needed (and when I wasn’t trying to fix our website). There was a lot of criticism of the CBS Sports coach rankings, some Alabama-Clemson talk, country music and lots more.

What a rush that was.
Personal Note: I suck at golf now.
This has been a rough week for me, friends. I played golf Sunday and wasn’t proud of what I shot, so I went out to the driving range to get my game back. 200 range balls later, I think I’ve come to the realization that I suck at golf and I’m really struggling with it. I used to be good — not great, but good. I played in high school. I have a 70 on my adult resume. But now I’m pretty sure I suck and it is permanent and I’m a little depressed over it. I recorded my swing at the range and didn’t even recognize it when I watched it back. I used to have a good swing. Now I swing like an old man learning the game for the first time. It’s heartbreaking and I’m telling you this in case we cross paths soon and I’m in a bad mood. It’s really weighing on me as golf season approaches.
It’s ‘Unpopular Opinion Day’ on KSR.
For two hours on this morning’s show, Matt Jones, Ryan Lemond and Shannon The Dude will welcome your unpopular opinions without interruption. So if you have a hot take you know many people don’t agree with, call in and share it with KSR.
