The KSR Football Podcast Awards Show
Two weeks after the conclusion of the Kentucky football season, tonight at KSBar we salute the stars that made it all happen in the inaugural KSR Football Podcast Awards Show.
In three years of podcasting, never has there been more production put into one episode. Tonight Austin, Charles, Drew and I will hand out more than 15 awards to celebrate the season, like the Charles Walker Reliable Hands Award. To ensure it’s a smashing success, we need your help.
All great awards shows come with a monologue. For the sake of our listeners, I will avoid it at all costs. Instead, I will read questions from the audience. Submit your questions by rating the podcast on iTunes and leaving a review. If you don’t want to ask a question, prepare to submit your KSR Football Podcast Awards ballot tomorrow afternoon.
Your Favorite Win from 2018
The people have spoken. The Big Blue Nation’s favorite win from the 2018-19 season was the streak-snapping beatdown of the Florida Gators at The Swamp. The season-finale was quite a doozy, but beating Florida is beating Florida.
The Citrus Bowl win over Penn State was second, while third was highly contested. Mississippi State slightly edged out Louisville, who came in just ahead of Missouri.

UK Women’s B-Ball Hits the Road
Following an upset loss at home to Ole Miss, the Kentucky women’s basketball team will try to bounce back with a win tonight against LSU at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Tip-off between the 16th-ranked Wildcats and the Tigers is at 7:30 and can be seen on SEC Network+.
Another Coach Calls Out Officials
We like to poke fun at Mick Cronin from time to time, but I think we’re all on his side this time. First, Scott Padgett called out an official’s immature behavior. Last night Chris Mack got in on the action, but Mick Cronin might have had the harshest words to date.

Is this the beginning of reform in college basketball officiating? One can only hope.

Shrine Game Practice Continues
Unfortunately, C.J. Conrad’s time in St. Pete is done, but Derrick Baity and Bunchy Stallings have a few more opportunities to impress NFL scouts. Next week three more Wildcats will participate in Senior Bowl practice. Lonnie Johnson, Darius West and Mike Edwards will try to steal the spotlight from a flipping giant.
Time of year when small school guys get to show they can compete on the big stage. This is 320-pound, Western Illinois DT Khalen Saunders (@khalenNOTkaylen), who is heading to the Senior Bowl next week. Backflips at his size…. pic.twitter.com/s6QjAkA3zO

Steve Carrell is Back
While fans clamor for a reboot of The Office, Steve Carrell is creating a new TV show that could be just as good. In a collaboration with Greg Daniels, the creator of The Office, the two will launch a new comedy about the start of America’s Space Force. The Netflix show has so much potential. This guy can’t wait until it gets off the ground.
