Today On KSR: Nate Sestina Watch and more

Good morning, Cats fans. Drew here to provide you with a brief look at what is important from yesterday and what is on tap today.

Keep an eye on Nate Sestina.

Today is the final day of Nate Sestina’s three-day visit to the University of Kentucky. The former Bucknell standout is on campus to check out John Calipari’s basketball program as a potential graduate transfer landing spot, and if all goes well, Sestina could pledge his commitment to the Wildcats before he leaves town. If not, he will take a little bit of time at home to decide what’s next. He does not have any other visits scheduled at this time.

UK Baseball lost to Louisville last night.

Nick Mingione’s young Cats traveled to Louisville last night, only to lose one to the Bird Bats, 8-3. Louisville has now won eight straight in the rivalry games played in Louisville and 10 of the last 12.

Kentucky will get a shot at revenge when Louisville travels to Kentucky Proud Park for the second game in the two-game series on April 16.

We wrote some things about John Calipari’s lifetime contract:

“What does Calipari’s new lifetime contract really mean?”

Buzz Williams to Texas A&M is almost done.

The long belief that Buzz Williams will take the Texas A&M job is about to come true. Williams told his Virginia Tech team of his departure this morning, according to Jeff Goodman, and Williams will soon make the move to College Station to take over the Aggies’ head coaching job. A&M is expected to officially introduce him as its head coach tomorrow, per Goodman.

The list of the coaches in the SEC is getting crazy good.

The NIT Tournament final is set.

Last night Lipscomb beat Wichita State and Texas beat No. 1 seed TCU to set up the Lipscomb-Texas championship game that we all predicted.

That game will be televised Thursday night at 7 p.m. and I can’t imagine many of you are excited to watch it.

New Game of Thrones promo!!!!

It’s one of those things that I think I want to watch. But I can see myself getting bored and turning it off before halftime. It would be kind of cool to see Lipscomb win something, though.
