Oh hey there. You again. Have I ever told you how much I enjoy our early mornings together? Well I do. These morning chats are a great start to each day, but today I have to get the radio equipment and set it up for the show therefore I’m in a hurry. So, good talk, good seeing you, let’s roll…
It’s Election Results Day!
There has been a lot of attention on Kentucky’s primary election because it will determine Mitch McConnell’s challenger in his run for a 487th term in the Senate, and because your favorite celebrity outside Kentucky was eager to tweet about how bad Kentucky sucks at voting. Throw in the current climate of our country, specifically in Louisville, and there are multiple reasons to play close attention to this election.
And today, we will finally get the results.
“Eddie” premiered on ESPN last night.
The long-awaited documentary on the life and career of Eddie Sutton made its TV debut last night on ESPN. I’ll write a little more about it later this morning, but for now I’ll just encourage you to watch it whenever you can.
Many Kentucky fans are still a little sour on Eddie’s time at Kentucky, but “Eddie” is a very honest profile of Coach Sutton, all of his success in basketball, and all of the darkness in his life. It’s really one of the better sports documentaries you’ll find. Right now it’s available for replay on the WatchESPN site or app.
Emoni Bates, the best high school prospect since LeBron James, committed to Michigan State.
Bates is the best player in high school basketball and one of the rare talents that don’t come around very often, and yesterday he pledged his commitment to Michigan State in a shocking announcement. Bates committed to the Spartans live on SportsCenter, but in his announcement, he was very clear in saying he doesn’t know “what the future holds” for his college basketball career. It was already a huge surprise that he picked Michigan State in the first place when speculation has long been that he’ll skip college, so now it’s hard to believe he’ll suit up in East Lansing after not knowing what the future holds on the day he announces his future on live TV.
My guess is you and Emoni Bates play the same amount of minutes for Michigan State: Zero.

Evan Daniels is leaving his recruiting gig to become an agent.
In a summer with no AAU basketball, we learn one of the summer AAU circuit’s biggest stars, Evan Daniels, will no longer be a scout for college basketball. According to Adrian Wojnarowski (Woj Bomb!) Daniels has been hired by the mega agency CAA to work in its college basketball coaching division. Now Daniels will be dealing with coaches on the agent side rather than telling us where the next great recruit will be playing college basketball. He’ll be missed, but good luck to Evan in his new endeavor.
More UK basketball players arrived on campus yesterday.
We’re getting closer…
Fans of UK football recruiting, today might be a good day for you.
Is there a Yahtzee in the works?
