Good morning friends! Hope your holiday weekend is going as planned.

Let’s get right into what is happening today!

NBA Free Agency

The big news coming from yesterday is the signing of two former Cats to join Anthony Davis in LA.

Yes, Boogie and Davis are back on the same team! Plus, Rajon Rondo has signed a two-year deal to stay with the Lakers. I guess you can call the team the “L.A. Wildcats” – Has a good ring to it, you think?

Here is what Nick Roush had to say about the reunion of three former Cats.

That was not the only news coming out of NBA Free Agency as point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was involved in a blockbuster trade made between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Thunder traded All-Star forward, Paul George to the Clippers for Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari and includes five future unprotected first-round picks for the years of 2022, 2024 and 2026 from LA, 2021 first round pick from Miami and a 2023 protected first round pick also from Miami.

If you want to follow more on NBA Free Agency from the BBNBA perspective, follow KSR for updates.

I see a lot of Heat games….Tyler can definitely win rookie of the year. The Heat need shooters and now with Butler they have a number of players able to drive to the rim for kick-outs. Losing Wayne Ellington and Josh Richardson really improve his chances. And if he can take minutes from Dion Waiters and Dragic, then he will average double digits easy. It all depends on if he can guard his man. Miami is all about playing the dee. But he is the best shooter on the team from day 1.

I hope Cousins gets his ring, so he can dedicate the rest of his career to making as much money as he can.

I am not a Laker fan, but will cheer for the former Cats.

My favorite NBA team of all time, the 71-72 Lakers. Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Gayle Goodrich, Happy Harriston and Jim McMillan. They also had Pat Riley and Elgin Baylor. Maybe AD, Cuz, Rajon and LeBron can learn to play together like those guys did.
