Hey, you. How’s the week going? Just another quarantine Wednesday over here. Luckily, the Kentucky Sports Radio crew has a TON of audio and visual content coming your way to help you get through Hump Day. Here’s what you can look forward to along with a few news notes.
Prepare for the Pardon My Takeover
It’s the day some of you have been waiting for! In one hour, the Pardon My Take duo of Big Cat and PFT Commenter will guest host KSR for the fifth year in a row. Is John Calipari on the hot seat? What’s the go-to Brooklyn bourbon this summer? Will Big Cat rub in Coach Duggs and Tennessee’s win over Kentucky? We’ll find out soon.
If PMT isn’t your style, have no fear; tomorrow, Lee Cruse and Hayley Harmon will join the gang to decide the best one-hit wonder, and on Friday, we’re celebrating Drew Franklin’s 29th birthday again. You can also listen to Matt Jones’ latest podcast with Paul Finebaum or the newest 11 Personnel. Matt’s conversation with Randall Cobb and Josh Paschal should drop on your podcast feed later this afternoon. Yesterday, Paschal hopped on a call with the media to talk about the team’s participation in the Black Lives Matter rally and what the voluntary workouts are like.
Jack Pilgrim and the Sources Say crew will also gather to break down the latest basketball recruiting news, including Kentucky’s chances with Cade Cunningham.
You can watch Derek Willis and Archie Goodwin play basketball
The former Cats both play for Ratiopharm Ulm in the German Bundesliga, and this afternoon, they’ll be taking on the Hakro Merlins. Thanks to Derek’s wife Keely, you can tune watch live on Instagram at 2:30 p.m. ET.
We may get an update on UK’s plans for the fall
This week, the University of Kentucky is expected to release its plan for the fall semester. If you check UK’s coronavirus website, there’s an update posted yesterday saying more information is “coming soon.” I’ve been waiting for that link to go live for almost 24 hours now, so while you go about your business, I’ll still be here refreshing.
It’s an 11 Personnel showdown on Listicuffs!
When Nick Roush and Adam Luckett weren’t talking pigskin this week, they were facing off in Listicuffs, Funkhouser’s Family Feud-style game show that’s been heating up the internet this summer. Apparently, this is the longest episode yet, so we’re in for quite a show. Check the site or KSR’s YouTube channel at 7 p.m. to see who comes out on top.
“Love Lines With Lemond” debuts on KSR’s Facebook Page
If you’ve seen one of their Periscopes or simply listened to the radio show, you know that Ryan and Amanda Lemond are the perfect picture of marital bliss. Tonight, they will share the secrets behind their marriage in the premiere of “Love Lines With Lemond,” KSR’s first-ever Facebook Live series. To watch, simply check the site at 9 p.m. or watch on Facebook. If you follow us on Facebook, the video should pop up in your notifications. (If you don’t follow us, why not?)
There’s still time to reserve your table for Trivia
It’s Wingsday at KSBar, which means you can get 25 wings for just $20. If you’re looking to get out of the house and enjoy those wings and some socially distant fun, trivia begins at 7 p.m. Give us a call to reserve your table (859-554-6081).
KSR Dog of the Day
Meet Shelby from Shelby County! According to her parents, when she’s not busy herding, she loves watching Louisville defenders chase Lynn Bowden around the football field. Me too, Shelby. In fact, that sounds like a perfect way to start the day.
