The 6-foot, 180-pound cornerback from Cincinnati, Ohio will join his former Moeller High School teammate, tight end Brenden Bates, in Lexington. Valentine chose Kentucky over Michigan State, Pitt, Iowa State, Louisville, Purdue, Cincinnati and Duke.

Valentine is the second cornerback to commit to UK in the 2020 class, joining Louisville native Dru Phillips. Kentucky now has 14 commitments in the class, which ranks No. 19 in America according to Rivals. He is not just a football player. He’s also pretty good at finishing near the rim on the hardwood.

Valentine can save that for the Johnson Center. See his best work on the gridiron:

His football nose looks awesome on highlight reel. Nasty tackler, too. But only three stars? Why?
