Matt always makes those stupid faces at the beginning of his periscopes.

Now how am I supposed to unsee that picture?

    • RG, how about my question below? You always have your finger on the pulse of such things.

WVa is a good team, in a good conference; people think that just because they lost some games to good teams our win doesn’t mean anything…it’s still a good win.
And, I think we will see the Mountaineers again.

  3. So does our win over West Virginny look a little better after they beat the Trae Young’s in Okie last night?

That pic at the top always makes me laugh.

I learned so much about basketball from the KSR comment sections yesterday. Consensus says we should recruit more four year Wisconsin players.
Cal should really read this stuff….haw haw haw.

Don’t know how you read so much of that and stay sane.

I too learned a lot yesterday. One poster thinks we should hire Bruce Pearl.

      FBI investigations for everyone!

    • Not to mention those who insist we should ALWAYS offer a scholly to the Kentucky Mr. Football, even if no other Power 5 school is recruiting them.

Don’t take that as a knock by me on the kid who went to Wofford. The more Kentucky kids the better in some ways, but this is the SEC, not a glorified 1AA conference.

    • That was a reply to RG’s statement.

Oh, we have our share of football experts, too.

Some fans want Kentucky kids on the team just because they’re Kentucky kids. They ignore that there isn’t that much talent coming out of Kentucky high school basketball.

We have a lot of out of work elite coaches on this site. It’s a shame they can’t find work off their couches. Also if Cal would only read their posts we would almost certainly be undefeated.

I work with one of the lower arena types we sometimes complain about. She’s related to a certain dragon riding attorney I think. Yesterday she explained to me that the problem is how full of themselves and selfish our players are. It was so pleasant. I can just imagine how still and frowny she is at games.

    • runningunnin.454

Does she take opera glasses to the games?

    • J-Dub421
      10:56 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

Our players aren’t selfish. They’ve just spent most of their lives as the best player on the floor who had to carry their team and do it all themselves. It takes time to break out of that.

    • runningunnin.454

That’s true J-D; many times they’ve turned down a good shot, and passed one time too much.

West Virginia beat Trae Young University last night . Way to go Huggins, makes our win look that much better. Big game tonight must win all home games because the rest of our road games are going to be tough.

  10. Realme

Can we talk about Auburn? Why is it that you can have lost 2 players you cheated to get, and the whole world assumes the rest of the team and staff is fine and can carry on normally? Maybe they’re at the top of the SEC for a reason. Maybe they’ll win it, and then have it taken away. Why is it that it’s business as usual after what they, Arizona and whoever else got caught doing?

Pitino defenders question why he is the only head coach gone. They kind of have a point. Just because they didn’t have previous scandals doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be accountable for this one.

    • 4everUKblue
      11:06 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

Agreed. Something is not right at Auburn. If it were UK it would mean the death penalty.

    • J-Dub421
      11:08 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

Agreed. Especially since Bruce Pearl isn’t even cooperating with Auburn’s own investigation. You would think they would suspend him for that alone.

    • 4everUKblue
      11:09 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

And on the other hand, if it were dUKe or UNCheat it would be “move along, nothing to see here”

    • runningunnin.454
      11:09 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

Good question Rm…their wins may very well be vacated, especially since the NCAA has been “embarrassed” by the FBI.

    • J-Dub421
      11:09 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

However, Pitino is gone because that was his third scandal and it looks like Pitino was directly involved in arranging payment from Adidas to Bowen.

    • 4everUKblue

And yet Delray thinks Bruce Pearl would take this job in a NY minute, and I bet he would. We are way more classy than Bruce Pearl.

    • secrick
      11:10 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

Pearl probably should be gone because of his past history but there is no question about Pitino. His defenders have rose colored glasses on . The other guys should be punished and will be in time.

    • ClutchCargo
      11:16 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

They don’t seem to comprehend that UofL already has one foot in NCAA jail and the other one is on a banana peel. The only rational choice was to fire Pitino.

    • runningunnin.454
      11:17 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

There was also a comment that Cal should watch Izzo coach during games…actually, I think his days are numbered.

    • Realme
      11:18 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

No question Pitino should have been gone long ago. But I think the 3 other programs should have cleaned house and be on some sort of NCAA notice or something. I don’t understand why all season it has been as if nothing happened at the other schools the FBI nailed.

    • 4everUKblue
      11:19 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

Has anyone compared Izzo’s record to Cal’s since he’s been at Kentucky?

    • Realme
      11:24 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

Apparently by some UK fans logic, Izzo’s one championship in decades of coaching there is more valid than Cal’s one in 8 years of coaching here.

    • 4everUKblue
      11:28 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

Izzo from what I see has been to 3 final fours since Cal has been at Kentucky and won none.

    • runningunnin.454
      11:34 am February 6, 2018 Permalink

Izzo winning percent is 0.72, compared to Cal’s 0.82. His success this year is based on the fact that Miles Bridges returned to school instead of leaving for the NBA.

I see a lot of programs like Mich St, Duke, Syracuse, UConn as one trick ponies when it comes to success under a single coach. UK is one of the few schools out there that has won multiple championships under multiple coaches. That speaks of a legacy that transcends who the coach is at a particular time, and it is the reason that UK has staying power. Sustained excellence that has no equal.
