These are the kittens Matt Jones was willing to sacrifice for KSR

kittens

Matt and I were almost late to yesterday morning’s radio show thanks to these two adorable creatures you see in the photo above. The sweet, cuddly, harmless, innocent, precious kittens were trapped in the subway and the MTA had to shut down our line to escort them to safety, which left us scrambling to make it all the way downtown to do the show.

Today, Matt questioned the MTA’s decision to halt 4-5-6 train traffic through the city during the early morning commute and asked what is the appropriate amount of time to devote to removing the kittens before they become casualties of public transportation.

Just look at them. Are they more important than the first segment of KSR?

Matt is great, but he is what one would call very self-absorbed.

These are the cats that beat me up last year. There was no motorcycle accident. Doesn’t every one know that?

Yes, they will probably grow up to be wildcats.

At times it may help to realize how worthless KSR really is. Do I love it? Of course I do! However it’s 2 hours of talking about sports that really mean nothing in the grand scheme of life.

I potentially detect a debate on… “One persons/group’s love and kindness should not or should stop others’ rights”… hmmm

If it were rats, none of you would care. I can completely understand not willing to kill kittens. I might feel the same way. But in the end, a life is a life. Cats are no more important than rats. It’s an arbitrary line you’ve drawn in your head.

matt- when you are 70 and still single, living in a van, down by the river, you might like to have a couple of cats as companions. someone to share a can of fancy feast with.

If we lose to WKU tomorrow it is all Matt’s fault for letting a black cat cross his path – bad luck, ya know!

(Imitating Joe Bob Briggs during a late-night showing of the Warriors):
How does a shutdown on the B & Q lines out in Brooklyn, at 11:00am, affect travel to the morning radio show on the 4/5/6 lines in Manhattan?

Of course they were worth saving…….and I MUCH prefer dogs over cats. Except of course in the sports world. 🙂

Matt, you are heartless. ; )

Yes. Once a CAT, always a CAT. You can tell a lot about someone by the way they treat animals.

Great. They were saved. Now they go to the pound and will be euthanized in the next week or two.
