If you’re wondering why it’s not yet baseball time in the Bluegrass, blame Mother Nature.
Scheduled to start at 7:04, the grounds crew at The Cliff put rolled out the tarp about 15 minutes ago in preparation for incoming storms. It’s a small line that should pass through the area quickly, but right now it doesn’t look too good out there.
If you’re in the area, take shelter. For the rest of us, remain patient. This should not last too long.
The skies are starting to clear up, but there’s still no official time for the first pitch. Meanwhile, the people in control of the PA system are showing off.

While the grounds crew prepares for play, Mitch Barnhart is pitching in by helping dry seats in the stands.
