The UofL Foundation Bought a Factory in Oklahoma because a Donor Asked

screen-shot-2016-10-11-at-9-37-36-am

The stories that come from University of Louisville administrators should never surprise you, but this one comes from so far out of left field, it isn’t even in the ballpark.

In 2014, a university donor approached the UofL Foundation.  His Oklahoma factory was empty and expenses were increasing.  Would James Ramsey be interested in making a deal?  Of course he would.

The UofL nonprofit took 99% of the empty factory’s ownership, until they started receiving questions  from WFPL.

For more than two years, prospective buyers came and went, and the U of L Foundation waited while the factory sat on the market.

At least, until the foundation received a series of records requests from WFPL’s Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting. A day after a reporter visited the site in August, the foundation and its attorneys signed off on a set of “unwinding” documents, canceling the whole deal without ever making a penny.

U of L administrators said the timing is merely coincidence, and they backed out because the factory wasn’t selling.

You wouldn’t expect to find corrupt UofL administrative BS 666 miles away from campus, but as always, expect the unexpected.

U of L has been exposed as a Clinton Foundation-style criminal enterprise. Shut down the whole damn thing.

Shut down U of L or the Clinton Foundation?
I would agree if you mean Billy and Hilly’s pay for play enterprise; they have sold us all out for profit.
In a H.Clinton presidency, our foreign policy would be based on the Clintons’ bank account.
I’ve heard it said, “Hillary for Prison”….during WWII, her actions would have lead to a firing squad.
      “Loose lips sink ships”.

So you’re cool with Trump using his foundation (that he hasn’t personally donated to since 2008) to pay for his lawsuits when he gets sued, buy paintings of himself for himself, and buying a Tim Tebow autographed football helmet for himself? He also used his foundation to bribe Pam Bondi into dropping her investigation into Trump University’s (his giant ponzi scheme) fraud.

And you’re cool with Bill Clinton meeting with the Attorney General during the FBI investigation involving his wife….not that Obama would allow the flag bearer of his party to be indicted.
The Clintons are a political cosa nostra.
However, I wouldn’t mind having a Tim Tebow autographed helmet, or a Tyler Ulis autographed coffee mug.

No, just bash U of L without your political bullsh*t comparisons. I already know that you’re both huge Republicans who will vote for Trump. If you want to rant about politics go to facebook, or fox news, or breitbart, or wherever.

J-Dub, Anyone uneducated and/or weak-minded enough to be a Democrat is not smart enough to really matter. I guess you are in that pool of barely-sentient animal matter, but don’t fret. You can free your mind from the backward slavery that is the left wing of American politics, and reclaim your dignity as a free human being. Just don’t vote for the woman who wants us all to be her property.

You seem to be laboring under the assumption that I am in love with Trump…no. However, heretofore, Trump has been a businessman, and he does what businessmen do…especially wealthy ones.
He has not been a public servant, and betrayed our country like H.Clinton and John Kerry.
You’re talking football helmets and portraits, and ignoring the fact that had Clinton and Kerry been around during WWII, they would have been convicted of treason.

I’ll vote for whomever I want and do not need your permission, blessing, or approval to do so. Most Republicans are now jumping from the sinking ship that is Trump like the rats they are. Keep clinging to your racist, misogynist, xenophobic, narcissist, bigot, demagogue.

New dictionary, J-D? Those are very inflammatory words, I am not racist nor a bigot; however, I didn’t notice any blond, blue-eyed Swedes blowing us up on 9-11.
And, it has nothing to do with Hillary being a woman; you may not believe this; but, I have had the unique pleasure to meet two of the strongest world leaders in history, both women….Golda Meir and Margaret Thatcher.
Don’t confuse H. Clinton with either of them.

Cats paw; I didn’t say anything about women staying in the kitchen…did you read my comments…can you read?
UKBBU: McVeigh was an anomaly; surely you are not comparing him to millions of people including ISIS and al Qaeda whose mantra is “Death to the U.S., Death to Israel”. Their goal is the destruction of our culture. society, and way of life.

Also, isn’t it odd that this project was exactly 666 miles from campus. Is that the reason Louisville used red as its primary color?

If nothing else.. this election alone has cast an enormous light on how much of a disgrace our current governmental party system has become. Both are totally corrupted by defense contractors, big money corporations (Oil, Pharm, Ins, Banking) and special interests. Both parties have failed the American People. I only wish each ballot had a “Vote of NO Confidence” for both. Which would force each party to start over. If Trump and Clinton are truly the best this country has to offer. It will take a major movement by the “PEOPLE” to fix this country. Campain finance reform, Single term limits for both Presidents and House Representatives, so they no longer have to bow down their parties and interests to get re-elected. And they no longer can become power hungry lifers like McConnell and all the other lifetime Party mongers that do nothing but represent their special interests. anyway.. just a rant. So sick of hearing and reading people defend both of these failed parties and the embarrassments each is trying to push on the people. Both are truly beyond defense.
