The Matt Jones Podcast: E10 Andy Katz & Mark Halperin

The 10th Matt Jones Podcast is “so Matt Jones,” featuring a half-hour talking basketball and politics with Andy Katz, before going even further into his political hobby.  Mark Halperin of Bloomberg joins Matt, live from the insane scene surrounding the Iowa caucus.  Halperin discusses the race, and the process of making a weekly documentary about the political event for Showtime, appropriately titled “The Circus.”  Some highlights:

—  What it’s like to fill out the President’s bracket each year.

—  What it will take for Calipari to leave Kentucky.

—  What it’s like to follow a Presidential campaign as crazy as this one.

—  Will the state of Kentucky play a role in the Presidential race?

You can still listen by subscribing to “Kentucky Sports Radio” but they won’t be on the feed much longer.  Make sure you subscribe to “The Matt Jones Podcast” on iTunes.  It takes some time for each episode to fill the feed, but if you are subscribed, it will not be a problem.

If you aren’t an iTunes person, you can also stream on Podbay.

I don’t agree that it’s necessarily fair that Rick Pitino has earned the benefit of the doubt of his knowledge in the UofL scandal. This is the same guy who had sex with his mistress in a restaurant and couldn’t contain himself enough to keep from flipping the bird to UK fans following his last loss. I thought you backed off that much too quickly. People act as if this is the first transgression in Ricky 3 Stacks background and his possible knowledge or involvement, in Katz’s words “is so outlandish..” I don’t see how much more outlandish it is than 15 seconds and running down his leg.
