The KSR’s Governors Debate is tomorrow

ksr-debate

Matt Jones and the Kentucky Sports Radio team will play a major role in Kentucky’s governor race when they host the first ever KSR Governors Debate on tomorrow’s show.

Matt Bevin, Jack Conway and Drew Curtis will face questioning from Matt on the show, and as we’ve seen in previous debates and political interviews, he won’t be lobbing softballs, nor will he sit back and listen to the candidates dodge questions. They better be ready to talk.

So tune in at 10 am to hear what the candidates have to say about politics and each other. Some of you will complain about KSR needing to “stick to sports,” but this is a very special and potentially impactful show, and we are excited about it. Hell, Ryan Lemond’s even wearing a tie.

Tune in.

Jack Conway wears a suit like an 8 year old being raised by
a single Dad named Larry The Cable Guy.

Bevin is done. Republicans have stopped running ads for him a month ahead of the election. Guess they wish they had worked harder to nominate Comer now.

With opponents like Conway and Curtis maybe they feel like they don’t have to spend the money.

Wishful thinking. The republican establishment doesn’t like Bevin.

Sure. I am sorry, you have not convinced me. Looks like the wishful thinking is on your part. After the election, don’t disappear.

Can KSR just please stick to UK sports?

Just stick to UK sports. We already know that Democrats are dishonest, irresponsible, incompetent, corrupt, entitled, greedy, Godless, unaccountable, racist, hypocrites…

      Luther, you spelled “Republican” wrong….

You could run a goat for Gov in KY as a Dem and he would win. What a shame

Not a goat… but they have been running jackasses for years. I wish we had to take a civics exam on the issues before we get to vote.

The welfare recipients will continue to vote for the Dems to keep their benefits coming in monthly. If only they knew the master plan of the Democrats that continue to enslave our people.

Would there not be welfare recipients if a republican were in office? Or are you just repeating the company line you heard on Fox News the past 8 years?

When are people going to wake up and realize that both parties are bad. As far as welfare goes, Corporate welfare doubles the amount spent by our government on social welfare, but Fox New’s nor NPR are running any stories on that.

      No Republicans use welfare.

Look at those three. Very sad that those are the best examples of individuals to lead our great state.

Politics as usual in Kentucky. Vote for the lesser of the three evils.

No sir, not angry at all. Just wish people would use more than two brain cells when they evaluate the candidates and vote.

Why is this even on a radio sports talk show? I won’t listening.

I won’t listen. This is another opportunity for Matt to advance his personal agenda to run for office. The show has become a forum for much more than sports. Toys, food, etc. What’s next? Matt is killing a show that was built by SPORTS…..not politics, not personal agenda. Matt loves having all of his on-air sidekicks, kiss his a__ as he disses and dumbs them down in order to be the autocratic Demagogue he strives to be.

Wow. This show has never only been about sports and it would not be as popular if it was. I for one think the debates are very informative and interesting. Why is it that people can’t even hear an opinion that differs from them anymore without getting angry.

I could not be more politically different than Matt but I think he does a good job with this stuff. I think it’s great that more voters are exposed to the candidates in this kind of forum and may have a little knowledge when heading to the voting booth in Nov. He has 10 hours per week on the air and it would get a little stale if we continued to rehash the same UK themes. Maybe he could make it a more national sports commentary if he wanted to keep it sports related, but feel there is a decent balance between UK news and other “stuff” as it is.

unless all three candidates have served as governor somewhere what we will have tomorrow is a gubernatorial debate, not a governors debate.
