I learned so much yesterday, hot out of UNC Chapel Hill.
U.S. Military Might depends on…football; ha hahaha.
There is no cause/effect between CTE and football.
Guess I would be surprised if it came from another school.

There will fake classes on this subject which you will not have to attend.

I know. It’s really appalling the number of people who agreed with Coach Hat. CTE is definitively caused by repeated blows to the head, which occur frequently in football. That’s pretty well established, and even the NFL finally agreed (after trying to sweep it under the rug for years).

Kyrie Irving even thinks this guy is delusional.

He clearly has had too many hits to the head in his lifetime.

It’s well known that George Washington played offensive lineman, and that Thomas Jefferson was a great wide receiver. That’s why we won the revolutionary war.

Somebody tell the UNC coach about Ryan Hoffman, former UNC offensive lineman that died at age 41. He was homeless, and suffered from signs/symptoms of CTE. He was also part of the Boston U Med School study that determined 87% of former football players suffered from CTE.

    • Can I ask a question about CTE? I heard someone say that he thinks the link between football and CTE is not conclusive bc they’re not doing an autopsy on EVERY player that passes away (or at least a group large enough to make a fair comparison or sample size or whatever). They’re only checking for it in those (it seems) who already show signs and who ask that they be checked after they die.

      Please don’t pounce. 🙂
I’m only asking, and I haven’t studied it.

177/202 former players in Boston study = 87%.
      110/111 former NFL players = 91%
True that players’ families had to volunteer, and at present there is no way to test except by autopsy;but, still the numbers are conclusive.

They don’t autopsy every player who passes away, anymore than the would autopsy every person who passes away. So, that part is true. However, there is VERY STRONG evidence that repeated blows to the head and repeated concussions cause CTE. Boxers, MMA fighters, rugby players, etc. all get diagnosed with CTE as well. Yes, more studies need to be done which will require more funding because research like this is expensive.

Also, remember that the NFL long fought to squash studies of CTE and tried to hide the correlation between repeated head injuries and CTE. That happened for a reason. Admitting that football causes CTE harms their product and their profits.

  2. London: bringing back more childhood memories today. We used to go camping in our little pop up camper at Levi Jackson State Park there. Granted, it wasn’t exactly roughing it since they had go cart track, rec room, horse stables, volleyball courts (with square dancing on Saturday nights! WOOHOO!!!), etc.
