The UK Golf team is moving on to the National Championships after a fourth-place finish in the NCAA’s Tuscaloosa Regional. Needing a top five finish to move on to Eugene, Oregon, Kentucky finished 6-under-par to advance.
Three Cats shot under par on the final day and two finished in the top ten to carry the team over the top. Manchester, Kentucky’s finest, Chip McDaniel, shot 6-under, good enough for fourth overall. Freshman Lukas Euler had his first ever top ten finish, tying for sixth at 4-under.
The Cats will hit the links in the National Championship for the first time since 2014 when the action begins in Oregon on May 27.
