The Kentucky Coaching Staff Took Jedrick Wills Out to Dinner

FullSizeRender-109

Mark Stoops is doing everything he can to get Jedrick Wills to Kentucky.

The five-star offensive tackle and Lexington-native is committed to Alabama.  After receiving a visit from Nick Saban earlier this week, Stoops has not stopped recruiting Wills.  Earlier today, Stoops was spotted playing badminton with Wills at Lafayette High School.  Tonight, a KSR reader sent us this picture.

Stoops has six more days to convince Wills to stay home.

Have to think the kid is at least considering a flip. I don’t think a coaching staff would put on the full court press if a recruit said he was firm in his commitment! Hope Stoops and his crew are working some magic!

Yeh, I don’t think we’d keep trying if we didn’t have a good chance.

I don’t even know why the kid is even toying with the staff. He will go to Alabama. That would have been like if Monk stayed home instead of coming here. With that said, I really don’t like football recruiting. They need to adopt the rules like basketball. A kid commits you leave him alone.

He’s hungry and wanted someone to play badminton with him.

There no rule in basketball that prevents you from flipping a recruit. Terrance Jones comes to mind. I’m sure there are many more. Basketball does have an early signing period which locks them in, but everyone is game until they sign just like football.

I like it. If nothing else it pisses Saban off and keeps him guessing.

Is this impermissible benefits? I’d love to see the kid flip. He’s only gonna ride the bench and clean jock straps for the next two years if he leaves Kentucky

While I don’t think it will happen, could you imagine an O-Line with Landon Young, Drake Jackson, and Jedrick Willis? 2 of the top 22 linemen in the 2016 class and the 8th rated lineman in the 2017 class, plus the 5th rated JuCo lineman of the 2016 class. And we’re talking football recruiting, not basketball!!!

Also, talk about giving a QB time to throw!
