The Incredible Story of Kentucky Commit Lindsey Duvall

Bullitt East's Lindsey Duvall (12) makes a move on Butler's Jaelyn Penn (23).

Entering her Junior season at Bullitt East High School, Lindsey Duvall was a heralded recruit, ranked as the 10th best player in her class by ESPN.  Before the season started, she committed to play for Matthew Mitchell at Kentucky, but a week later, she had another announcement.

Duvall had a grape-sized tumor on her left leg.

She remained optimistic, hoping for a quick four-to-six month turnaround to return to the game for her Senior season, but doctors would not be able to determine a proper prognosis until the tumor was surgically-removed.  None of them expected to see her play this season, yet three months later, she’s back on the court.  Mike Lacett of WDRB incredibly tells her inspiring story.
