The Greatest of All Time Turns 22 Today

The most prolific pass rusher to ever wear a Kentucky uniform turns 22 today. Let’s celebrate.

Before Josh Allen was selected seventh overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, No. 41 was a consensus All-American and National Defensive Player of the Year, the first Wildcat to ever win the Bednarik, Nagurski, Lott and Jack Lambert awards.

Allen never missed a game in four years at Kentucky. He finished his career with 224 tackles, 41.0 TFL, 31.5 sacks, 15 quarterback hurries, 11 forced fumbles, eight PBUs, two fumble recoveries, one blocked kick and one interception. He now holds UK’s career sack record, the single-season sack record and is ninth in the SEC’s career sack list.

Watching No. 41 terrorize SEC quarterbacks is like nothing I’ve ever seen at Kroger Field. To celebrate Josh Allen’s 22nd-birthday, enjoy his best moments from his record-break senior season.

It’s just sad that every time I see the number 22, I think of Jared Lorenzen. 🙁

We’re really going to miss Josh being on the team, I wish the greatest success for him with the Jags.

I agree. Good luck to the young man who gets better every day. Cheers to that mindset translating into success on the gridiron – and the family dynamic.
