The 2020-21 College Football Playoff is Set

Another College Football Playoff announcement, another predictable result. This year’s playoffs will include Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, and Notre Dame.

Since the playoffs started in 2014, the playoffs have involved at least two of these four teams every year. Texas A&M certainly had the best argument to slide into the top four this season, but alas they are left out for the 6-0 Big Ten Champion Ohio State Buckeyes.

Alabama will enter the playoffs with an 11-0 record, the only school in history with an 11-0 conference record in a season. They will take on the fourth-seeded Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Clemson and Ohio State will face off in a rematch of last year’s semifinal at the Rose Bowl in Dallas on New Year’s Day as well.

Same teams every year! ND will get creamed by Alabama, they should not be in there!

Notre Dame squeaks by a lousy Louisville team 12-7; and, they’re in the CFP, ha ha ha ha. They would get creamed by Florida and Texas A&M.

Agree. ND got abused by Clemson. Ohio State only played 6 games compared to most who played 10. They looked pretty shaky last night. I question whether either 1 belongs.

Recruiting matters. Only 6 teams have won a playoff game. Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, Georgia, Clemson, and Oregon. Care to guess where those 6 teams rank in this year’s 247 team recruiting rankings? Yep. 1 through 6. Rich get richer.

Too bad that same formula doesn’t transfer to basketball

ND year in and year out is the most overrated program in college football. They just got destroyed by Clemson. They have no business being in here. Really all of the 4th spot teams would be much worse than the top three but ND should not be in there.

Your last score matters! So a ND Team that got their butt wiped yesterday deserves in? It was weeks ago that ND beat Clemson, I think without Lawrence. COME ON! Can’t stand the IRISH – years ago they got every player they wanted and on TV every weekend.

A&M should have been 3 seed playing Clemson, with OSU 4 seed against Bama.

Absolutely. I hate that Buckeyes get half a season and are rewarded.

Any team that only played SIX games has ZERO business being in the playoffs; period. They’ve practiced for 5-6 extra weeks while the other teams have competed against other schools. We’re talking about practice man; PRACTICE. We talking practice; PRACTICE!
Anyone that’s played the game knows the difference.

Nd is a joke. No business being there other than tv revenue
