Given the stats that keep coming out of the 2016 class, it’s hard not to look forward to next year. Last night, four of UK’s five signees turned in impressive performances. Here are their stats:

  • De’Aaron Fox: 34 points
  • Bam Adebayo: 19 points
  • Malik Monk: 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists
  • Sacha Killeya-Jones: 27 points, 11 rebounds

On Saturday, Monk threw down this insane dunk in his team’s loss to Memphis East in the Penny Hardaway Classic:

Wenyen Gabriel’s team didn’t play Tuesday night, but WMUR 9’s Allen Lessels posted this great profile on the Sudan native yesterday. Here’s a great quote from Wenyen’s coach Vin Pastore:

“He’s what an elite athlete needs to be, confident, bordering on the line of arrogant,” Pastore said. “It’s a very fine line between the two and he’s right on the line … He’s well-spoken and a good kid and as competitive as can be when he’s between the lines on a basketball court. He’s the gentleman you’d want when he steps off. That’s not easy. He’s had good structure in his life from his older brothers and sister and family. He doesn’t come from a lot of money. What he’s got, he’s worked hard for. Wenyen’s special.”

Do yourself a favor and read the rest of that profile over lunch by clicking here.
