Tai Wynyard makes New Zealand national team roster


Kentucky commit Tai Wynyard will have the opportunity to represent his country, much like Karl Towns did for the Dominican Republic. Wynyard is one of 14 players to be named to the New Zealand national team roster.

According to the roster will be cut to 12 before the FIBA Oceania Series against Australia. The winner of the series will punch their ticket to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

TALL BLACKS SQUAD: Thomas Abercrombie, Duane Bailey, Everard Bartlett, Isaac Fotu, Leon Henry, Shea Ili, Jarrod Kenny, Robert Loe, Dion Prewster, Lindsay Tait, Reuben Te Rangi, Mika Vukona (capt), Corey Webster, Tai Wynyard.

    New Zealand’s Rugby team is called the All Blacks. It is a play off of that name.
