Former University of Kentucky track star Sydney McLaughlin continues to dominate the Diamond League. Today, Sydney won the 400m hurdles at the Herculis meet in Monaco, finishing in 53.32 seconds, the fastest time in the event this season.

Fellow former Cat Kendra Harrison also won her event, the 100m hurdles, in a season-best 12.43 seconds. I haven’t found a video of the race yet, but her smile as she crosses the finish line is priceless:

Tokyo 2020 is going to feature a lot of Kentucky Blue.

Nice to report on this. However, it is the 100 meter hurdles that Harrison won, not the 110 meter hurdles, which the men run.
