Sydney McLaughlin Tops the NCAA in 400m

As expected, Sydney McLaughlin is one of the fastest runners in America.

The Kentucky track team’s freshman phenom is off to a fast start in the indoor season.  At today’s McCravy Memorial Track and Field Meet, she ran 400m in 51.44.  The time leads the NCAA and set a UK school and freshman record.

Sydney’s performance was one of many that helped the Kentucky women win the meet.  Jasmine Camacho-Quinn won the 200m hurdle, the 60m hurdle and the 200m.

Marie-Josee Ebwea-Bile won the triple jump and long jump, Nicole Fautsch won the shot put and Olivia Gruver did this:

In other news, the mens’ team also got a home victory. For more, click here.

This site has gone downhill throughout the past year. The ads cover more of the site than actual content. Disappointing.

I agree brother. I love this kid. Absolutely love this kid. We are fortunate, blessed beyond belief, that she’s at KENTUCKY. Incredible! We need to do the necessary to retain Edrick Floreal!

How about those spoiled Dukies who just lost to the worst team in the Big East. Or the spoiled veterans at Kansas who lost at home as a 13 point favorite yesterday.
