Jon Sumrall has given the Big Blue Nation an Early Signing Day surprise.

Four-star defensive lineman Josaih Hayes has signed with the University of Kentucky. The top 15 defensive tackle is ranked by Rivals as the No. 160 player in America.

Kentucky’s inside linebackers coach pulled quite a coup to get Hayes in Big Blue. The Horn Lake, Ms. native was a one-time Ole Miss commit. He officially visited Oxford and met Lane Kiffin last weekend. Even though they got the last look from Hayes, the talented prospect chose to leave his home state to play for Mark Stoops’ program. Auburn, Miss. State and Memphis were also finalists.

Kentucky’s defensive line class is absolutely loaded. After winning battles in the trenches on the gridiron, they’ve taken that mentality to the recruiting front on both sides of the line of scrimmage.

Yes,yes, yes !!! Absolutely loving this,I’ve always been both a basketball, and football guy,and baseball to as far as that goes, so to see the football team doing well again is unreal !
But what’s even bigger is they are not only doing great, going to a bowl game every year or so,or us hoping to make a bowl, but that it has become a regular experience.
Now every year we expect to win,go to a bowl game, and even to the point we look at the possibility of not a 6,or 7 win year, but 8,9,or even 10 wins we think can be achieved, even talk of contending for the SEC East and playing in the SECCG.
I know that hasn’t happened yet,but our expectations are growing, and its nice to see the fan base excited about football on a yearly basis.
Thank you to Mark Stops,Vincent Marrow and the rest of the staff for a wonderful job.
