Good morning BBN! While you’re all waking up and preparing to take on the day, I’m about to head back to bed (crafting this post demands a nap afterward). If you’ve been living under a rock and missed out on all of the important events of yesterday, never fear! I’ve got it all covered for you, check it out below.
Kentucky beat Auburn
In a game full of fouls and three’s, the Kentucky Wildcats pulled out a home win against the Auburn Tigers. The 92-72 victory wasn’t an easy one, especially when the Cats came out at halftime and allowed Auburn to cut the lead to four. Regardless, a win is a win is a win, and Tyler Thompson has 9 great takeaways you can check out if you missed the matchup.

Lynn Bowden committed to UK
Coach Marks Stoops and the UK football program picked up a massive commitment yesterday afternoon when four-star (or five-star if you listened to him commit on the KSR pregame show) Lynn Bowden announced he will be joining the Kentucky Wildcats. He is the 23rd commitment and highest rated player in Mark Stoops’ 2017 class. Bowden chose Kentucky over Penn State, West Virginia, among others. For details on why this is a major key for the Wildcats, check out this post by Nick Roush.
Mohamed Bamba is visiting next weekend
Third-ranked power forward, Mohamed Bamba, is set to visit Kentucky next weekend. Bamba’s top schools have been narrowed down to Duke, Kentucky, Michigan and Texas. He said in an interview following his win over Hillcrest Prep last night that Hamidou Diallo and Quade Green have been relentless in their efforts to get him to Kentucky. His decision will be announced in late March or early April, so stay tuned to KSR for all your recruiting coverage.
