If you thought this day couldn’t be any worse, think again.
According to multiple sources, the Pittsburgh Steelers have placed linebacker Bud Dupree on injured reserve. Dupree, the 22nd overall pick in 2015, struggled with a groin injury for the majority of this year’s training camp.
The team confirmed that Bud required surgery to repair a torn core muscle, which will keep him out at least 6-8 weeks. Since the 53-man rosters were finalized yesterday, Bud is eligible for the IR list with designation to return.
Hopefully we’ll see Dupree back on the field before December. For the Steelers, Dupree’s absence will definitely hinder their pass rush.
