Snell Yeah won’t race at Keeneland today after all

Here’s a bit of a bummer for those of you headed to Keeneland today: Snell Yeah, the horse name after former Kentucky star Benny Snell, has been scratched from his debut race this afternoon.

According to the Herald-Leader, Snell Yeah wasn’t breathing 100 percent this morning so his trainer removed him from today’s race, a 4 1/2 furlong race for maidens at 1:39 p.m. Have no fear; his owner said they’ll attempt to get Snell Yeah into another maiden race on April 25 at Keeneland, and if he’s still not good enough to go, a race at Churchill Downs next month.

Meant to post this after the hire, but Tech hired Nell Fortner as WBB Coach….and they have been relentless with emails in re celebrating “Nell Yeah”.
