Snell Yeah takes home second place at Churchill Downs

KSR’s favorite horse made us proud this afternoon.

Making his racing debut today, two-year old colt Snell Yeah finished in second place in the very first race of the day at Churchill Downs.

The No. 6 horse with black and gold silks finished behind Halfmoon Reef, with a Place bet earning $7.60 and a Show bet earning $3.00. Zyramid came in third.

A $2.00 Exacta bet paid out $69.20, while a $0.50 Trifecta paid $43.80 and a $0.10 Superfecta paid $22.47.

Snell Yeah has tried to race twice now at Keeneland, but was scratched in both attempts on April 18 and April 25.

Before his scratch on the 18th, former Kentucky running back Benny Snell got to finally meet the horse that was named after him.

Needless to say, it was love at first sight.

Now that he’s finally gotten his feet wet, Snell Yeah is set to take the horse racing world by storm.
