SI.com Resets the SEC

Conference play has officially kicked off, so SI.com is resetting the races now that we have an idea of what teams look like. Today they previewed the SEC and of course Kentucky was still the favorite to win the conference with Texas A&M and Vanderbilt as other contenders.

In something that won’t surprise anyone Zac Ellis says Kentucky will remain the favorite with Tyler Ulis leading the way. It’s hard to imagine anyone would have guessed Ulis would be this vital to the team just two years ago when he committed to Kentucky and seemed to be ‘the other guy’ in a loaded recruiting class, but here we are.

Ellis also had Kentucky beating Duke as the best nonconference win for the SEC with Kentucky vs. Kansas as the must-see game in January.

SI picked their favorites in the preseason to win the SEC, and have reset or reevaluated them after seeing the teams play 12+ games. Pretty simple, no?
