Saturday Down South predicted the 10 best Kentucky football players for the 2015-16 season. As many people are guessing, Boom Williams was the No. 1 pick with SDS saying:
1. RB Stanley “Boom” Williams: Williams was Kentucky’s rushing leader last year, and will do the same this year. He also made an appearance on Phil Steele’s preseason All-SEC lists, but as a kickoff returner. While he only averaged 48.6 rushing yards a game, many think his true potential has yet to be seen. With a 40-yard dash below 4.4, he’s one of the fastest players in the SEC. He may truly boom during his upcoming sophomore year.
It’s hard to disagree with them, as Boom has been predicted to have a big season by nearly everyone. Williams, if he stays healthy, should put up big numbers even with the running back by committee Kentucky will likely employ.
The rest of the players on the list (in order from No. 2-10) were: Melvin Lewis, Austin MacGinnis, Josh Forrest, Jon Toth, Patrick Towles, Jason Hatcher, Ryan Timmons, JoJo Kemp and Ryan Flannigan.
Do you guys agree with the list?
