It looks like it is going to be another slow news day in the Bluegrass,, but don’t worry. We will make it through this one together.
First, just to shake things up a bit, here’s a little a little nugget from friend of KSR Jon Rothstein.
Heard the early surprise this Summer for Kentucky has been Charles Matthews. Solid shooter, scorer, and defender. Potential Glue Guy. #BBN

Matthews has continuously gone under the radar for Cats fans since we have all been more focused on the recruiting struggle throughout the Spring and it is great to see he is thriving so early in season prep.
Now. Here are a couple links to help start the day out:
– The U.S . Women’s National Team took down China last night in its fourth consecutive shutout. The women’s lone goal came from Carli Lloyd in the 51st minute . The USA became the only country to reach the semifinal round in all seven Women’s World Cups and the team continues its battle by taking on Germany this Tuesday at 7 p.m.
– The Arizona Central paper did a story on Booker and ‘the decision that shaped’ his future. It gets into the background of his family life and what it was like having a dad struggling to be a professional player. It might make you tear up a little.
– Just a little track update: Dezerea Bryant placed eighth with a time of 11.08 in the 100-meter dash at the 2015 United States Track and Field Championships Friday at Oregon’s Hayward Field. UK Alumnus Andrew Evans also took the Bronze medal in the men’s discus. Several other Cats and former Cats participated in the events. Click the links to find out more.
