Did anyone go see the Truth preach on New Year’s Eve? I think Matt should help setup the Truth a podcast so we can hear all of his sermons.

The city and the state do not have the money for that project. UK ticket prices are already high, just think how high they would have to go to pay off this pink elephant project. The YUM center bonds are at the junk bond level because it loses so much money. LET GO GRAY!!!

It’s a small thing but the Rupp Vendor doesn’t have the sport specific stadium cups like they use at CWS. I usually keep a set of 4-6 Football Stadium cups in the house. The cups in Rupp are very Plain Jane. I would assume that to accommodate the multi-use aspect, but how hard could it be to bring in another stock of cups for the basketball team.

I know that many are going to complain about the whole “whoever pays more will get better seats.” Some UK fans will bellyache and raise a stink. But I challenge ANY UK fan with this: if you had two jobs/income opportunities that were exactly the same (same city, same job responsibilities, same insurance, etc), but one paid more than the other, which one would you take? Without a doubt, EVERY person would take the higher paying job.

  44. Shane

Coach Horn, you are a Kentucky guy so you are aware of the tradition of UK basketball and the Rupp experience. I was curious, however, what your players’ reactions were to playing Kentucky and playing at Rupp. What were their reactions heading into the game and after? How did you, as a coach and a Kentucky guy, prepare them for playing UK (as far as not getting caught up in the name, crowd, etc)?

Marshon Lattimore (ATH), Marcelys Jones (OG), Erick Smith (CB) were the guys that the caller was talking about. Jones is rooming with Elam and the other two are his High School Teammates still looking for a home (Although I think OSU is a probable stop for at least 2 of them.).

asking this too late, i know, but i would like to have heard some specific examples from coach horn about players that he may have coached who were fan favs but that he chose not to play as much for one reason or another. what were some specific reasons “player a” or b from one of his teams didn’t play even though they might be able to fill it up from outside?
