Russ Yeast picks up an offer from Ole Miss

Russ Yeast, a four-star athlete and son of UK great Craig Yeast, committed to Kentucky last July, but since then, has picked up more offers, the most impressive of which came over the weekend from Ole Miss. Yeast told’s Bill Greene that Ole Miss’ defensive backs coach extended the offer this weekend, but he remains solidly committed to Kentucky.

“Anytime you get an SEC offer it’s big time to me,” Yeast stressed. “I’m not sure yet if I will visit there or not.”

Stick with us, Russ.

Russ, saw your daddy make many great plays at UK, and one I think was the most important, because it showed his willingness to go all out regardless of the situation, and was a predictor of the great things to come. It was late in the 4th Qtr against FL in his freshman year, we were down 48-0. Billy Jack Haskins threw a beautiful 48-yarder to him, which your Dad stretched out full to catch for the TD. It still makes me thrilled. Thanks for your commitment to the Blue.
