Romeo Langford plans to play in the adidas Gauntlet Finale

Romeo Langford battled back issues throughout the FIBA World Cup, but he’s determined to participate in the adidas Gauntlet Finale, which starts Wednesday in South Carolina. Langford didn’t play in Team USA’s semifinal loss to Canada on Saturday, but did chip in eight points vs. Spain in the bronze medal game yesterday. In his latest blog post for USA Today High School Sports, Langford says he plans to receive treatment for his back spasms when he gets home, then get on the road to South Carolina.

“I’ll probably be home for two days and then I’m heading to South Carolina for the adidas Gauntlet finals. Right now, my plan is to get home and get some treatment and I’ll see what happens then.”

Starting Wednesday, Langford and Immanuel Quickley will be in Spartanburg, while Team USA teammate Cameron Reddish will be at the Peach Jam in North Augusta, along with Marvin Bagley and Bol Bol. Jack and Nick will be at both events to bring you all the coverage you could dream of.

You’re right – they definitely aren’t going to Louisville. Also, hookers.

      Enjoy your vacation! 😉

“Of course everyone knows that Coach (John) Calipari is our coach on the U19 team and it’s been a great experience having him as a coach at this level. He’s one of the coaches that’s been recruiting me so it’s good to have this opportunity to see how he does things,” Langford wrote.

“He really harps on guys playing hard. He doesn’t even care about mistakes, he just wants your effort. So that’s cool.”

Yeah, sounds like Langford really hated playing for Coach Cal…

he usually gets to dazzle them with bullshit and then they sign. But those guys got to see his coaching abilities first hand.

So where’s the idiot from Friday who was on here saying that Langford didn’t have any back problems, and that it was a lie, and that his dad was pissed Langford wasn’t getting more minutes?? Looks someone was wrong.
