Rick Pitino Spoke at UofL’s FCA Banquet

Rick Pitino, the UofL head basketball coach who was in charge while hookers recruited from the dorm rooms and who was extorted for an extramarital affair that lasted 15 seconds at an Italian restaurant, was a featured speaker at last night’s awards banquet for UofL’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

No written joke can accurately capture the irony.

It was the first time Pitino ever spoke at the banquet.  Unfortunately the video cut off before we could hear his remarks on humility and ego, Pitino’s self-professed expertise.

It’s not, why did Petino speak but WHY would the FCA invite him (of all people) to speak in the first place?? Who in heck is running THAT organization?

Petino? That’s what you get if you cross a Pitino with a Petrino.

I was at the event and it was a good story. He spoke of how FCA has impacted him over the last year when 11 HC from the university all came to him to speak about their faith and need to grow together. Jesus himself said it was the sick who needed a doctor.

      Thanks for that perspective

Seriously??? Always heard listen to the message, NOT the messenger! This is the best possible example! There are so many things I could say here, but I think I’ll just let it go.

“Jesus himself said it was the sick that needed a doctor” I honestly thought that was meant as an”Oh, snap! BURN!” moment. It was awesome.

Let’s keep an eye on Pitino’s ‘fruits’ going forward (Matthew 7:15-20) Hoping it’s true that he’s a bona fide believer…

Nick Roush is clearly not a Christian. The ONLY irony is that a non-Christian believes he knows what it is to be a Christian.
I could go on and on about this, however, the gist of it is that we Christians understand and accept our fallibility. We understand that Christ is our savior and that he died because we are sinful. We also believe in the forgiveness of sin and believe that God is the only true judge of our hearts.

So keep it up Nick. You’re only coming off as the douchebag we all already know you are. But what else would be expected from a man who is obsessed with following in the footsteps of the asshats you work for.

“We also believe in the forgiveness of sin and believe that God is the only true judge of our hearts?” Followed by… “So keep it up Nick. But what else would be expected from a man who is obsessed with following in the footsteps of the asshats you work for.” Good to know you’re a christian FBI. Judge not lest ye be judged…..ring a bell?

Way to make Christians look silly & hypocritical. Nick isn’t a Christian because he has an opinion you don’t like, but YOU are a Christian even though you call him a douche? :-\
