Rick Pitino is tweeting about the college hoops trial

When Rick Pitino got Twitter, we knew this would happen.

Today at the college hoops trial, Pitino’s name was mentioned in a recorded conversation between former Adidas consultant Merl Code and agent Christian Dawkins, who are charged with plotting to pay Brian Bowen’s father $100,000 in exchange for his son’s commitment to Louisville. In the conversation, Code says that Pitino knew some of the details of the arrangement, but not all:

Upon seeing the news, Pitino couldn’t help himself and quickly took to Twitter to spread the truth to his Pitweetos:

Please say Pitino responding to claims is going to be a daily thing. The world needs it.

One party is under oath here. The other party is a pathological liar on Twitter. Whom to trust whom to trust… this is gonna be a tough one. Lemme get back to you…

Rick can’t remember if it was Dawkins or Code and he can’t remember where they were. He also can’t remember if it was in the court or in the locker room. All he remembers was one night on a dinner table.
