Rhyne Howard out with fractured finger until mid-February

Unfortunate news for the Kentucky Women’s Basketball team. According to UK, Rhyne Howard will not play tonight vs. Missouri due to a fractured finger on her left hand. She is expected to return to action in mid-February.

The sophomore star dislocated her finger vs. Auburn on Monday, but returned to the game after getting her hand taped up and splinted. Because she’s a badass, she ended up leading the Cats to the 68-61 victory, driving the lane for a big bucket, forcing a turnover, blocking a shot, and icing the game with a pair of free throws.

Get well soon, Rhyne. Tonight’s game tips off at 7 p.m. on the SEC Network.

Major bummer! I have a feeling that she will be back sooner rather than later. Non shooting hand, and like it said, she is a badass. I broke my left pinkie finger years ago, and they put a ridiculous huge cast on my hand. Hacksaw came out soon after. Hope she is back to 100% soon!

Oh no, I love Rhynes heart and the way she came back at Auburn to help her team win was unbelievable. Get healed up girl and come back like a WildCat!! Lol. We still got some great players on this team and hopefully they’ll figure out how to win until she gets back. Go Cats
