Kevin Knox won’t be the only five-star recruit in Rupp Arena tomorrow; according to Justin Rowland, five-star offensive tackle Jedrick Wills will also be in attendance on his official visit. The Lafayette star is currently committed to Alabama, but Mark Stoops and the UK staff haven’t given up hope on him yet, playing badminton with him yesterday morning and taking him to dinner at Malone’s last night:

With Signing Day coming up on Wednesday, does UK have a shot at convincing the five-star recruit to turn down Alabama to stay home and be a hero? Don’t get your hopes up, but stranger things have happened…

One would imagine you could at least get the kid’s name right IN THE TITLE of the post. Another fantastic post.

There is nothing wrong with pointing out that you misspelled his name.

As far as I’m concerned she can misspell anything she wants.

This is nothing other than a kentucky kid wanting to watch the biggest basketball game of the year.

He’s just milking the uk staff for free steak dinners and tickets to the best game in Rupp all year. Smart.

We are 100% being played again by a local kid. Remember when Damien Harris took an “official visit” to UK that just so happened to include the UK/North Carolina basketball game at Rupp? This was after he had not only changed his Twitter handle to mimic T.J. Yeldon’s, but was seen celebrating on camera with an Alabama QB commit at the live commitment of a teammate to Alabama during the Under Armour All-America game. All the while swearing he was not headed to Alabama. He wanted free tickets to the biggest home basketball game of the year. They enjoy the attention and freebies, and I can’t blame them; they are 17/18-year-old kids. I wish more than anything Wills was coming to UK, but there is zero chance. Zero. It’s Harris 2.0.

I don’t think it is quite the same because they know they are working from under, where Harris let them believe he might commit. Coaching staff members at other schools always do this on the last weekend, offering up the visit with meals and game tickets in an attempt to get them on campus and try to flip them.

Well, your comment has at least made me less cynical about the situation. I have a little optimism, but am certain Wills is 99.8% Alabama, which sucks. What I wouldn’t give to see Landon Young and Jedrick Wills on the same UK O-line. Wow.

The Kid is taking in everything he can get from UK …. I doubt that he will turn down Bama, just like a lot of 5 star basketball players can’t turn down UK. This is just wishful thinking that he could possibly come to UK.

A lot of folks on here with no hope. Sad. One hopes said lack of hope doesn’t permeate your life outside of sports.
