Remember when Pitino said he wouldn’t coach past 2016-17 season?

When Rick Pitino isn’t Louisville’s head basketball coach this fall, don’t act surprised because he told us that would be the case.

He told us almost six years ago.

Let’s flash back to December of 2011, two days before the Cards’ Big East opener against Georgetown, when Pitino announced that he wouldn’t coach past the 2016-17 season.

“When you’re 59, you’re realistic that you don’t have a whole lot of years left,” Pitino said. “My contract’s going to run out in 2017. I’m not coaching any more after that.”

We may soon find out he was telling the truth, although I doubt he predicted his current circumstances.

There’s another website that says the assistant coach at UofL that is responsible for this mess is Wayne Turner. Don’t know or trust the other website. Can you guys confirm that?

Hey Drew, how many articles have you written about UofL today to deflect and take the pain out of 31 straight years? Cope as you will, bro. LOL

Yeah. This certainly isn’t newsworthy. It’s only on EVERY national site. Nothing to see here.

Oh Oh, we have a press release from University-6.
It would appear that 31 straight years pales in comparison with “Can you spell F B I”.

It is indeed a Code Red in Da Ville. Not 502 but more like 911. The Chicken Shack will be a lonely place when the poo finally hits the fan.

Yeah, because losing to a conference team in football is much worse than watching your program and banners go down in flames.

Gotta love when a UofLittleBrother fan comes on KSR but it’s so much more fun in the midst of an FBI investigation that will have them playing Transylvania and Pikeville Colleges.

Yet every media outlet has announced UL is in trouble across the nation.

UL was not only trying to cover this up, but also stated they were not in
any way wanting to be in even more trouble while under probation. UL
is the bigger story by miles. The FBI is going to roast the University. lol

Lol, wow. Uk got cheated out of that game even worse than Louisvilles cheating. And it’s hilarious you’re talking about UK football. We are 15-14 vs UL and will beat them again this year. UK is better than UL in overall athletics and it’s not even close. Hopefully this will add to your sting of getting destroyed by Clemson. See you clowns soon.

I’ll hold off on the schadenfruede for now. It seems like an Adidas school problem – Kansas and Indiana could be next. Adidas coaches could roll over on the Nike system. I don’t know why it would be any better. Maybe (hopefully) I’m wrong.

Nothing is going to happen at Louisville. Asst. Coaches will be blamed, Teflon Rick walks away unscathed. Jurich responds with a new contract with bigger bux.
