You’ve been asking for a Reid Travis update, so here’s one. According to Jon Rothstein, Travis will visit both Kentucky and Villanova after Stanford’s graduation on June 16. The specific dates of those visits have not been set.

In case you’ve been out of the loop, Travis will be immediately eligible to play at the program of his choice this fall. The 6’8″ power forward was voted All-Pac 12 First Team two years in a row and averaged 19.5 points and 8.7 rebounds last year. Kentucky is considered the favorite, but Villanova may have an in thanks to Travis’ brother, who played college basketball with one of Villanova’s grad assistants.

For more on the impact Travis could have on next season’s roster, check out Jack’s post from last night:

What would a frontcourt of PJ Washington and Reid Travis look like?

Does anyone know why Travis wasn’t invited to the NBA Combine? Are we missing something? Is he just considered too short for his position?

I think so, and he doesn’t look like he has that wow athletic ability. He can be an NBA guy but prolly not a first round talent (ie Luke Maye from UNCheat)

Looks extremely solid to me. Consistency is someone you can use as a cornerstone to build a team with. I like his overall game and think he could play a big roll with some of the younger guys.
